Hello Friends!  Happy Wednesday!!!

Thank you SO much for the questions you submitted to the Q & A bank. I don’t know about you, but I love a good Q&A. Those short, bite-sized interviews are always my favorite pieces to read in magazines or on blogs. I think I’ve got them all answered below. If I missed you, give a shout in the comments and I’ll answer it there!

How old are you?

Were starting off with a bang… 31! Ugh! I am having a hard time get past the whole turning 30!

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Check my e-mail and turn on the coffee maker.

What is your go-to cocktail?

I am typically a beer girl but I do love a great mimosa! I could pop champagne all day. If I had to choose a cocktail, it would be a yummy watermelon martini 🙂

Favorite online shopping site?

I would have to say Nordstrom is probably one of my favorites but I can always count on finding something from SheIn or Romwe.

When did you begin your blog and what made you decide to start one?

I started in September, 2015 and wish I would have done it sooner! I have a Journalism degree and read blogs all throughout college. I have always had a passion for fashion and apparel and I love getting inspiration from other amazing fashionistas! When I look back at my first three months of blogging, my general thought was “what was I thinking???” I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing (I still dont really know what I am doing) but thats ok. Writing has always been a great outlet for me, but blogging has given me a new kind of energy and enjoyment. Blogging has actually introduced me to some amazing people. Some of my followers became my friends, and many other bloggers that I have met along the way are my constant and best support. The network of people that you build will carry your blog.

How do you manage your time and stay so organized?

With patience, a great planner and a lot of determination! Every Sunday night, I write out my posts for the week and make sure everything is set. I write what post will go up when, any ideas I may have for the post, and jot down any random ideas I may have for the week for Instagram. For any random ideas, I write them in my notes on my phone. It’s the easiest and most accessible way for me to remember and, if I’m lying in bed at night and think of something, I can jot it down immediately! Usually at night is when most of my ideas come to me. But I’ll sometimes be walking around and thinking of something. The key is to always write down your ideas, keep a planner with everything for the week written out and plan your posts!

Any tips for newbie bloggers?

Don’t be discouraged when everything doesn’t happen at once. It takes time to build a readership, and nothing happens overnight (though it may seem like it for some people). Try not to compare yourself to other people, if you see someone else’s photography or Instagram that looks amazing, don’t feel bad about yours, take inspiration from it. On the other hand, don’t try and copy others so you lose what’s individual to your own blog. Every successful blog out there probably started off small and amateur so just keep persevering! Blogging takes hard work and dedication, but you need to remember why you began blogging in the first place. For fun!

Which spring trend are you most excited to wear?

I love the resurgence of ’70s-inspired pieces. Flares, bell sleeves, thick chokers, fringe and fur!! I think each decade had something special about it, but the ’70s definitely suits my bohemian spirit and free-flow style.

What’s your favorite part about blogging?

I have met the most incredible people on this journey – both bloggers and readers. Connecting with so many talented, smart, inspirational people across social media is definitely the best part about blogging. I have local blogger BFF’s that I would have never found without my blog, and I have worked with the amazing creatives and PR agencies! I also really love getting surprise emails from people no matter how random the message. 🙂

Where is your favorite place to shop?

Besides the wine store, I am always a sucker for boutiques!! Francesca’s & Target are probably my most visited stores!

Can you give us a little quick tutorial on your top-knot?

The top-knot is definitely my go-to hair style pretty much everyday. It gets easier the more you do it. The three things you need are a hair tie, bobby pins and hairspray.

Take a portion of your hair and put it in a ponytail. Make it as tight as possible. Tease the hair in the ponytail to make it a little thicker and fuller. Start wrapping the hair around the ponytail like you are making a bun… Pin down layers with bobby pins until it is all tucked in to make a loose-styled knot. Add a little bit of hairspray to help with the flyaways.

What are three things you use every single day?

My Kuerig (3x daily), Lipstick & Phone Charger

What is your favorite lip color/brand?

Lorac Alter Ego… Give me all the purple! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this Q&A and please feel free to comment or shoot me an email with any other questions!
