Holiday Wishlist

Happy Friday Friends!!

Y’all.. We are 9 days away from Christmas!! HOLY COW!!

The holidays are all about the kids. I love watching the excitement on their faces as they see their pile of gifts and open each one, with a smile that grows bigger and bigger. But lets be honest.. I’d be totally lying and in denial if I didn’t say that OF COURSE I have my own Holiday Wish List. I’m completely fine with not getting anything on it, but I always make sure to have one on hand JUST in case we hit Powerball right before Christmas… at least my husband will have some idea where to start.

So here it goes .. My Holiday Wish List 🙂

Buffalo Print Poncho + Leather

It started to cool down yesterday after a surprisingly warm weekend so I layered my newest winter pieces, including this plaid poncho. Not only a plaid poncho, but a buffalo plaid that will compliment every color in your wardrobe. Not only is it the perfect plaid, but it also has fringe to spice it up! This buffalo plaid poncho would also be great for the holidays. I have to admit that I wore this paneled leather top three times last week – with skinny jeans hoping that no one would notice. I paired it with my favorite white skinny jeans and black boots for a more casual look.

To get you guys up to speed, the last two months have probably been my busiest in a long time. I’m surprised I’ve even managed to keep up with my posting schedule! Our entire office is being remodeled and we will all be working from home until end of March. I had to organize the entire move, vendors, contractors, furniture, utilities, you name it!!! No biggie!! This weekend is my son’s 5th birthday (at our house, pray for me) and then of course Christmas!! So I hope my schedule will start to wind down and I can actually enjoy the holiday season.

I found similar ponchos and blanket scarves below that would be perfect for that chilly day.

Can you believe Christmas is in 10 days? Are you ready for all the madness?

Last Minute Christmas Gifts Under $100

Happy Friday Friends!!! 🙂

If you woke up this morning in a state of panic realizing that Christmas Eve is just two weeks away… you are not alone! I think it has FINALLY set in that the holidays are here and we are amidst the chaos! Good news is, there still is time!

The other good news is that stores tend to have special sales and longer hours throughout December, as people rush to find last-minute gifts. But beware – the busiest shopping day of the season isn’t Black Friday, contrary to popular belief. Super Saturday, the last Saturday before Christmas, has actually taken its place. So if you’re planning to go to the stores on December 20, be prepared for huge crowds and long lines anywhere you go. If you are not one to get out and fight the crowds, I am sharing some last minute gift ideas that you can buy online and pickup in store. They are all under $100!!! I still have most of my family left to buy for and they are all the hardest… Thank you Jesus for expedited shipping! 🙂

Holiday Gift Guide

1. Amazon Echo – Echo Dot (2nd Generation) is a hands-free, voice-controlled device that uses Alexa to play music, control smart home devices, provide information, read the news, set alarms, and more. It connects to speakers or headphones through Bluetooth. I will probably be getting this for my husband who uses a tiny speaker to play music.

2. Nike Juvenate – I have been eyeing these shoes for awhile and they are at the top of my wishlist. Ive heard lots of great things about them. Super comfy and versatile!

3. Christmas Cookie Shampoo – This shampoo smells soooooo good. It was so amazing my husband stole it from me. I am stocking up on this item.

4. Charger Docking Station – I have been searching for an iPhone charger that allows me to charge my phone in its case for awhile. I have been through at least a half dozen other chargers that will not work with my iPhone 6 Plus if I have it in any type of case…until now! 🙂

5. Swell Water Bottle – Love the coloring & design of this bottle. You usually can’t find this one in the stores, but I ordered mine online. It keeps everything hot or cold just like it says it will. It fits perfect in my purse so I always have water with me!

6. Monogram Bracelet – Love this fun bangle that literally goes with everything. Would make such a great gift for that monogram freak in your life!

7. North Face Beanie – This North Face beanie is a warm, cozy and ridiculously cute choice for the cold weather! There is an extra layer of material to help keep your head warm. The pom pom is adorable.

8. Monogram Sweatshirt – Another personalized gift that just shows how special that person is to you. I love all of their products and they are such great quality!

9. Marble Phone Case – Im so obsessed with this case and it would be the perfect gift for anyone. There is also the option of personalizing it.

10. Book of Cocktails – A collection of delicious recipes from bartenders from everywhere—especially New York City—includes recipes for classics like the Martini, the Old-Fashioned, the Manhattan, the French 75 and the Negroni, as well as favorites from the new generation of elixirs borne of the craft distilling boom.

11. Philosophy Skincare Set – 8 piece skin care kit to help replenish skin and restore its health. Holiday sale, $165 value for the set.

12. Kate Spade Planner – A stylish 17-month agenda is a to-do lister’s dream come true, complete with monthly and weekly spreads, a contacts section, note pages and laminated dividers. Keeping tabs has never looked so good.

13. Lashtash To Go – From a mascara that amplifies lashes to a mascara that delivers a fanned out, high volume look, the Lashstash to Go is perfect for stand-out eye looks. It features five, black deluxe mascaras and a voucher to come back and redeem a full-size version of your favorite.

This year, skip the frustration of battling it out with other shoppers and shop online for everyone on your list. You’ll end up with great gifts your friends and family will love – without the headache!

Have a great weekend!!!

Holiday Party Looks – SEQUINS!!

I can always find a reason to dress up, especially around the holiday season. It is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a sparkly lil number or that gorgeous little black dress you have had your eye on. Is it just me or are sequins having a major moment right now? In putting this post together, I’ve been on the hunt to find anything and everything related to sequins on the internet. I have also been all over Dallas looking for the most perfect gold sequin jacket to wear to our office holiday party! And the strange thing is, despite their popularity (and obvious demand!), they’re almost impossible to nail down! Maybe I was just looking at the wrong time, but they seem to be sold out almost everywhere. #strugglebus

I have a fun and festive outfit in mind for the party and I will be sharing these details soon. I wanted to share a holiday outfit that is more casual. I love pairing soft, oversized sweaters with skirts and leggings. My skirt is from last season but I have linked similar ones. The skirt is also super comfortable which at first glance you might not think so, but the lining is not only soft. Pairing skirts with OTK boots help elongate shorter legs like mine 🙂

Don’t Call It A Comeback – Velvet Blazer

Velvet has made a comeback and in a BIG way!  From velvet blazers, to velvet tops, skirts, dresses, shoes…you name it, it’s all about VELVET. This is a huge trend this season and I’m completely on board.

Today, I am sharing a recent purchase that I am obsessed with…. this burgundy velvet blazer!

This velvet blazer is a showstopper. It is so soft and feminine. I love that I can wear it now and into the winter months with some longer boots and a sweater underneath for extra warmth. Pictures do not do the blazer justice. It is a stunner! It comes in 8 other colors and goes with really anything. Pairing the wine colored velvet blazer with a neutral sweater helps keep it classy and chic. I purchased this sweater last season from Forever but I have linked several similar one’s that are affordable.

I also kept it casual with my favorite pair of distressed jeans. For accessories, I added my go-to peep toe booties that I snagged for under $30!!!! They are super comfy and go with everything. Finally, I added these stunning earrings that dress up any look. I could live in them!! I have linked everything below.

If you can’t quite commit to a velvet blazer or aren’t so sure about jumping into this trend…try something like a velvet heel first and see what you think!
