Waffle Knit Sweater Under $40

Back to Monday already!?!? I am not going to lie… I am happy to have today off from work but I have a long to-do list AND there is no school for little man today! #sendallthecoffee

This season I have been obsessed with ALL of the sweaters. A waffle knit sweater definitely tends to be my favorite style, simply for comfort. You could wrap up in this piece and nap for hours if you really wanted to. Very seldom would I say that about anything but pajamas. You know I mean business when I’d take a nap in it.

Transitional Sweater for Fall

Happy Monday y’all! And it is a significant Monday as it is September 11th, a day that I think every American remembers. I was in the line at ChickFilA before high school when my dad called to let me and my mom know what had just happened. We still had to go to school but we watched the coverage through 1st and 2nd period then we were free to go home. Thank god because that is all I wanted to do and I know my parents were wanting to just be home as a family. It was such an eerie day! I do love knowing what other people were doing during these intense moments so share what you remember about September 11th in the comments below!!!

On to today’s post, I wanted to share this amazing burgundy sweater that is the perfect transitional piece for fall. The color is so perfect fall color.

Polished In Pink

Happy Monday Friends!

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. Ours was pretty exhausting and really hott! 🙂 We had parents night out Friday night and got to see my favorite country music singer, Pat Green. I live for this past weekend every single year because its always such a blast. However, I can’t recover like I used to! (insert monkey covering eyes emoji) We had another fun-filled Saturday at the pool and riding 4 wheelers out in the country. I need another day of rest but that’s not how we operate.

I wanted to share this pink top that I recently purchased from Prime Day a couple weeks ago. The color is totally my jam! The brighter, the better 🙂

I really dont think there could be a better color for summer. This top is also really flattering and comes in eight other colors. Its versatility is bananas since it can be worn with literally anything. I cant wait to style this with shorts and a cardigan to transition into fall. These jeans were a purchase from the #NSALE and I was iffy at first on the fit. Now that I have worn them a couple times, I am so glad I didnt return them. I am a shorty so most jeans/pants are always pretty long on me. These suck everything in which totally dismisses the fact that they come up past my belly button 🙂  And can we talk about these booties.. O.M.G!!! I found them from the Rack and under $50!! They are similar to the Chinese Laundry Laurel Pep Toe but half the price! Of course I had to finish this look off with probably my most favorite purchase from the Anniversary Sale…. this leopard print clutch! OBSESSED!!!!

Have a great week!

Brittany 🙂

Easy 4th of July Outfit Idea

Happy Monday y’all!!

I hope you had a great Fathers Day weekend. Initially, we were going to be spending the day bowling with my family and parents but the hubby had a little stomach bug he couldn’t shake so we hung out at the house swimming and playing with water balloons…. which actually ended up being a blast. My dad is a total kid at heart and he had a great time. We made the hubby some yummy dinner and he is a lot better now!

I apologize for the lack of posts last week… work has been a little crazy with the WHOLE office out of town for meetings in China. This week is not much different…. I will be the only one there again (including some of the IT guys lol)  but I am pretty much picking up the slack for everything. I wont go into details but lets just say our office cant run unless someone is taking care of “business”!! I am actually sharing a personal post this week on how I balance blogging and working full time. Stay tuned for that!

Since we are halfway through June already (how is it even possible) I wanted to share an easy outfit that would be perfect for a family bbq or a day of fun in the sun!  Doubling up on denim is a trend I can totally get behind, especially when it comes in shades of blue & white!

Denim on denim is having a moment right now, and I’m definitely partaking. I paired my favorite frayed white denim shorts with my go-to chambray button down top. Its the softest one I own and goes with everything! I also brought the whole look together with this super cute watermelon clutch that I snagged from Marshalls. This look would be perfect for a neighborhood bbq or a quick shopping trip to the mall.

I hope y’all have an awesome week friends!

Brittany 🙂
