Step Into My Office… The Big Reveal!!

Happy Wednesday Babes!!!

I hope ya’ll had an amazing Memorial Day Weekend! Our’s was FULL of outdoor fun and lots of family time! I recently bought an inflatable water slide that was a huge hit! The kids were on it all day, every day which in turn left the adults to chill and relax!! Unfortunately, there is a weight limit on the slide so none of the adults actually used it but I see that rule breaking in the future.. we did not want to break it Day 1 🙂

As promised, today I am sharing a project that only took a year to complete! After many months of procrastination and trying to figure out my vision, I am sharing my new home office! But I do have a confession, after looking at pictures I realized I want to do some painting and add a couple more tweaks but I am very happy with the final product!! 🙂

ENJOY!!!!

Desk // Chair // Shaggy Rug // Pillow // Wicker Cart

Leaf Print Bag (TJ Maxx) // Pineapple Binder // Pineapple Jar

Donut Sign (Target) //  Watercolor Art (Ridge Garcia-my son)

Hello Gorgeous Card  // Flamingo (Party City) // Leopard Clip (Home Goods)

Confetti Sign // “&” Sign (Home Goods) // Polka Dot Folders

Polka Dot Folders

Banana Leaf Pillow // Animal Print Rug

Happy Hour sign (Target ) //  Flamingo (similar) // Deer Horn Decor (At Home) // Pink Cactus (Lowes)  // Teal Basket

I am so happy with how everything turned out! All the decor came from different places but all seemed to come together so well. I obviously am a huge fan of color and prints and that is what makes me the happiest! That was my main focus when it came to the decor! Vibrant, colorful, feminine, fun and exciting! Words to describe my dream office!

I hope you love it as much as I do! Hopefully it doesnt take me a whole year to put the actual “final touches” on it 🙂

Have an awesome rest of the week!

Brittany 🙂

Jumpsuit Obsession

Yup…… another jumpsuit! 🙂

They are just that good and are pretty much an obsession! Especially if they involve stripes and are under $40!!!! Ill take 20 of them!

I have to talk about this striped culotte jumpsuit!

striped jumpsuit

Jumpsuit // Neck Scarf (Similar) // Shoes // Hat // Sunglasses

I actually tried this jumpsuit on at Dillards while trying on some Easter dresses. I always have the best luck at Dillards! I didnt end up buying it but regretted my choice later on. I decided to order it and so glad I did! The wide leg culottes cut and square neckline is chic and sophisticated and easier than you think to wear! I am wearing a size 6 but probably should have ordered a size 8 for a more tailored look. I paired it with a fun neck scarf, panama hat and my go-to strappy sandals!

Being short and stocky build, I never think jumpsuits are flattering for my body type but I think its all about the print and the cut of the material. Vertical stripes are ALWAYS a good idea. Horizontal stripes can shorten your figure and make you look wider than you are… trust me (homecoming dress circa 2001) Anything with a tie-waist helps accentuate your curves and actually gives you a waist. I am literally the same size width wise and dont really have a waist. I love the hem line on this jumpsuit because it breaks off my torso from my bottom half! AND it has pockets… AHHMAZING!!!

I think it would flattering on any body type! And anything from Dillards is a WIN!

What are your thoughts on jumpsuits?

Gifts For The Graduate

Happy Wednesday!

Today’s post is a little short and sweet… I have a viral infection which feels like strep. Trying to takes meds and rest as much as possible because this thing aint no joke!!! Ugh! My son graduated from Pre-K last night and I was slightly a hot mess but I definitely played it off like a champ. When I started to tear up, I would run over to the other side of the room like I was going to take a picture… while wiping tears at the same time. 🙂

Speaking of graduation, I wanted to share some gift ideas for the special grad in your life! I have two cousins BOTH graduating this year and they are completely different. I had to come up with some ideas that I know they both would like which wasnt easy. Here are some quick and simple things to make your gift hunting easier….

gifts for the graduate

1. V-Neck Tee :  These are the best shirts and I have them in 3 different colors! I wear them to bed, to the store, Saturday tee-ball games and literally everywhere! They would make amazing gifts. And under $30!

2. Wireless Activity Tracker:  This sleek, sporty wristband motivates you to achieve your fitness goals by calculating steps taken, calories burned, elevation climbed and distance traveled throughout the day. It literally does it all! Records workouts, shows real-time stats on screen, count hours of sleep and wakes you up in the morning!

3. Cuff Bracelet:  This statement bracelet is gorgeous and can be dressed up or down. Any fabulous female would love this as a gift. The filigree design looks amazing with the mixed metals!

4. Portable Bluetooth Speaker:   This portable speaker is great for summer time with all the fun pool parties and bbq nights. Its water resistant and will pair with bluetooth to make it wireless. Perfect for any occasion.

5. Personlized Planner:  The thing I love about this planner is it can be customized for anyone. Not only does it have a marble case but it has different tabs for staying organized. And its under  $40!

6. Amazon Gift Card:  To be honest, I think every graduate wants one thing… money! I am not one to just give a card with money and be done! I have to do something a little more thoughtful so gift cards are always a great idea. And I am pretty sure you can find any and everything on Amazon!

7. Graduation Wine Set:  Who doesnt love some wine?!? Give them something they can enjoy x 3!!  They can be customized for any holiday or event!

8. Barrington Duffel Bag: This is such a classy and sophisticated bag that is perfect for travel. These can also be personalized and customized with great prints and a monogram!

What are some exciting events you have coming up in May?
