Oh olive, how I love you.

With all of the amazing sales going on right now, it is hard not to think about fall fashion. At least for me. But, there is one color and style that I love wearing year round. Olive Green! The color is perfect working with anything in your wardrobe, all black, neutrals, a romantic floral print, a navy stripe etc, etc and the utility design gives it an edginess a plain outfit craves. It is also the perfect transitional color for fall.

I wanted to share three different ways to style olive green and how to transition from summer to fall. It is such a great color to layer or add to any outfit.

Olive Green Utility Vest

If there’s one piece that continually proves the test of time, it’s the utility vest. It’s the perfect four-season layering piece and that olive hue looks good on everyone. I can’t pinpoint an actual time in the season when I wear the olive version of my utility vest because I truly wear it year round. It is such a work horse staple for me, I would be mortified if anything were to ever happen to this! Truly one of my most prized wardrobe possessions. I remember a time when I had zero ideas on how to style it. Nowadays, it’s hard for me to think of ways it WOULDN’T work in an outfit. And the olive color is just so dang versatile!

Olive Green Utility Jacket

A utility jacket is a versatile wardrobe staple, and a piece you can wear spring through fall. This lightweight jacket pairs effortlessly with any outfit, from distressed jeans to white denim to shorts to sundresses. It’s a great daytime and travel jacket, and I like to think of it as the counterpart to the denim jacket, which is my other “must-have” jacket!

Olive Green Jumpsuit

I purchased this amazing jumpsuit in the beginning of summer as a must-have date night piece. It has been worn everywhere! This one is sold out but I do love this one and this one!  I live for a comfy and casual jumpsuit especially if it can still be styled so many ways. That’s what’s so great about finding something that is so versatile.  You can dress it down to lounge or you can dress it up to impress.  That, my friends, is a great hack for being a little more sustainable with your purchases.

How do you wear olive green?

Brittany 🙂
