Happy Wednesday Friends! I am running around packing up all my entire closet for the Reward Style Conference that starts tomorrow. It is my first year and I couldnt be more excited but let me tell you, its stressful figuring out what the heck to wear… Even though fashion blogging is my jam, trying to not have the same outfit as everyone else is a talent 🙂
BUT, as promised I am sharing the highly requested denim shorts review with you before I head out… I had great feedback with the denim jeans I did last month so I wanted to bring you a variety of shorts for the warmer weather 🙂
AE Tomgirl Shorts – Size 8
Kicking off this review with one of my favorite pairs…. the tomgirl fit! These are more loose in the legs which I actually prefer since I have thicker/muscular build on the bottom. I honestly dont prefer tight fitting shorts at all. The sides flap up which I think is very flattering… they are super stretchy and I love the wash.
AE White Denim – Size 8
If you are in the market for white denim, this is a great pair and very stretchy. I love the fray detail on the bottom and length is perfect for cover up all the things 🙂
Old Navy Mid-Rise Cutoffs – Size 6
Another favorite are these bad boys that are giving my “labor-bearing” hips all the stretch! 🙂 I really love the small distressing on the bottom and they are also not too tight on the legs. These do fit true to size.
JCrew Factory High-Rise Denim – Size 29
I was surprised I actually liked these shorts when I first tried them on awhile back. But, clearly i did since I snagged them…. the length and wash were what sold me. These have a 4 inch inseam and are a little frayed on the bottom. Great quality and affordable.
JCrew Factory Drawstring Shorts – Size Medium
These are more of a linen material and such a great fit. Incredibly comfortable with the looser fit and a drawstring tie to adjust the waist. These are true to size.
Amazon Mid-Rise Frayed Shorts – Size Large
These frayed shorts are actually a black option if you are looking for black. I was honestly not going to keep these when I first shared them but they have grown on me… I do like the stretch, the fit and the wash. And the price is probably the best part 🙂
Walmart, Time and True Denim – Size 8
First of all, these are from Walmart. Second…. they are only $14! And third, you NEED them! So good! They have perfect stretch, fit great and the wash is such a great in between color.
AE Mom Shorts – Size 8
I grabbed these “mom” shorts on a last minute whim because of the feedback I had been hearing about them. Unfortunately, they do not flatter my figure like I wished. They are high waist and very stretchy but I think it might be the lighter wash that I am not a fan of…. or just the fit. I think they look great on so many people but I am just not a fan personally.
Loft Chambray Shorts – Size 6
Technically, these chambray shorts are not “denim” but they are in the same category so I wanted to share them. Such a cute pair to dress up or down and the scalloped detail on the bottom is the cutest. They are not tight at all and fit true to size.
American Eagle Shorts
