HEY GIRL, HEEEYYYY!!!!!

I am back today to finally show you the full Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dressing room experience and it was a fun one this year! The in store selection was very minimal so I did not get to try on everything I had intended to but I still found some great pieces.

I wanted to drop it down this year and not show a million outfits but more staple items and at good price points so almost everything is under $100 and they are pieces you can wear a lot of different ways! Tons of great workwear pieces, fall staples and LOTS of beauty items. I am giving my honest opinion on each item and what I actually walked away with….

Vince Camuto Gradina Block Heel Bootie

I initially was excited to see these in store because I have the similar ones from last year’s sale. This style has more of a deep V on the sides of the shoe. After trying them on in the dressing room, they were a little uncomfortable around the toes. I still think they are a great fall staple and the height of them is great. 

Sam Edelman Boots /  Vince Camuto Leather Boots

I personally did not try either of these on but I think they are really cute! 

BP Maya Mules

I think these are super cute but I did not try these on either. They would be great for the workplace in the fall!

Tory Burch Slides

These are so cute and fun! I had these on my wishlist initially but after touching and feeling them in store, they seemed uncomfortable. I really love the cognac color and think they would be a great closet staple for year round!

Steve Madden Chain Mules

If there is one shoe you from the whole sale that you purchase, let it be this one. Such a classy, simple, comfortable and affordable shoe! I know I will get a lot of wear and tear from these. I purchased the tan color but want them in every color!

Steve Madden Wedge Sneakers

Another great shoe and these actually were my #1 seller from last years sale! This years version is a little different but still super cute. I love the studded strap around the back.

Dolce Vita Sneakers

OMG these sneakers are AMAZING!!! I am so glad they worked out since they were on my wishlist! I am a sneaker freak and I HIGHLY recommend these. They are actually lined in fur!

Tory Burch Sneakers

Obsessed! I wasnt really sure what to think of these and didnt have high expectations of them being comfortable. And I was wrong! They are really comfy, classy and chic! I purchased the snakeskin and black logo but also really LOVE the colorful ones too.

Dressing Room Try-On

I LOVE MY JOB!! Being able to go in store to shop this sale and try on all the things for Y’ALL is what keeps me going! Yes, it is a long day and I am sweating the entire 6 hours from trying on all the fall clothes, however, it is 10000000% worth it! I love being a resource for y’all and being able to give my honest feedback on everything! A couple tips I have for shopping this sale…

-Only purchase things you know you will wear!

-Stay within your budget as much as possible! 

-Pick 2-3 closet staples for each clothing item.

-I allow myself 2 splurge items every year! #WORTHIT

-HAVE FUN!! That is what its all about at the end of the day 🙂

Not only did I get to shop on Day 1 but I also got to share it with my good friend Anna! She is pretty much my clone but in a taller version lol – love this girl and her heart! We styled some of the closet staples for this year two different ways for more outfit options for yall. 

This flannel top is one of my favorite purchases from this year. I didn’t even see it on the preview online but it was one of the first tops I eyeballed in store. I sized down to a small.

Do yourself a favor and get you some SPANX! These faux leather leggings are everything and more. They suck you in all the right places… I size up to a large for some breathing room. They are the the BEST!

This chunky cardigan is a good one and really affordable! I sized down to a small as it does run oversized. I will be ordering the camel color too!

This slouchy tee is a must! It is a great basic and closet staple for layering under cardigans and jackets. I have size medium. It also comes in other color options.

I really love these Kut from the Kloth black skinny jeans! They fit really nice and are true to size. There is no distressing and would be great for the workplace. 

I loved this faux leather jacket on the hangar but then when I put it on, it didn’t sit right on my chest. I love the drape effect it has on the front but it wouldn’t lay right on me. I did the medium. My girlfriend Anna saw it and tried it on and it fit her so GREAT!

Another great flat that you should totally purchase if you havent yet are these Steve Madden leopard flats! Worth every penny plus more. I go up half a size.

BP Cardigan , Two Ways!

We are both in smalls!

The infamous Barefoot Dreams Cardigan is back AND in a leopard print version! OBSESSED! They are the softest cardigans you will ever put on and so warm.  I size down to a small.

Another item they bring back every year is the BlankNYC Suede Moto Jacket. It is such a great jacket and very well made. I have it in the grey from three years ago and still wear it! I do my normal size medium.

I have size medium in the white cami and love it under the moto jacket. The Vince Camuto snakeskin booties are legit. I would suggest going up a full size as they run small.

Barefoot Dreams Cardigan , Two Ways. Both in Smalls.

I wasnt super impressed with either of these jackets but I also was very hot and sweaty. That probably means they are at least doing their job lol… The Patagonia jacket is more fitted so I actually would prefer to size up one. I am wearing a medium. 

I passed on the Nike running shorts since I already own so many. Wearing medium.

The pink North Face Fleece was on my top 25 list but after trying it on, it was more boxy and cropped than I expected. I love the color combo of the pink but it also comes in Ivory. I went with a medium.

I love finding great workwear pieces that can also be worn more casual for dinner dates or even shopping trips! This Treasure + Bond Blazer is at the top of my list! The quality and fit are perfection! I tried to really think about how many times I would wear this so I ended up passing on it but now that I cant stop thinking about it, I might just order it. I know I can wear it more times than none. I did size medium.

I was hoping to love the Levi Skinny Jeans and I really do! The fit is amazing and the wash of these will go with everything for fall. I did my normal size 29! 

If there is ONE item I was IN LOVE with in store versus online, it is these Steve Madden Pointed Toe Bootie. I liked the style online but once I saw this cognac color, I was SOLD! Not only are they super cute, they are super comfy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I went with my normal size.

Another great closet staple to add to your wardrobe is this insanely well made Gibson blazer. We are both size small. The quality is so amazing and comes in six colors. I will for sure be getting the pink after seeing in on Anna.

This is probably my favorite look of the entire tryon! Still rocking the denim shorts for summer and fall with the cutest jackets I have ever found! And the price tags of both of these leather jackets is seriously CRAZY!

The brown BlankNYC leather jacket totally gives me 60 vibes and I am obsessed! My dad would be so proud! I am wearing in medium and it is only $56!

The black Topshop leather jacket is not technically part of the Nsale but it is still 40% off. I love the edgy look of this one and the hardware on it. I also have a medium and its only $57.

I am so glad this Chelsea Cowl Neck sweater is back this year. It is super soft, cozy and fits oversized. I sized down to a small. Available in four colors.

I always love seeing this BlankNYC Suede Skirt during this sale every year. It is such a great closet staple especially for workwear. You can style it so many ways. This was another item I had to really think about purchasing and if I would wear it all the time. Since I am not in an office or really dress up anymore, I decided to pass. I do think it is great for fall. I did size 8.

I always try to snag a good winter coat or vest for the colder months. I decided to narrow down my selection to ONE item this year. I loved this North Face Puffer Vest so much! I think it was more the color that sold me… I haven’t seen one of these made in this green color. I did more normal size medium.

This crew neck long sleeve tee is a great layering piece for fall. I did size medium. I decided to pass on the Zella leggings this year. I have a pretty big stock of them at home already so another pair would probably just overwhelm me. I did love these perforated leggings and the fit of them was great! I have size medium.

If this outfit doesnt scream FALL though 🙂

I love the color of this Halogen duster so much. The length is longer than a normal cardigan and I think it fits perfect! I have size medium and comes in a ton of colors.

My initial opinion on this Clare V Suede Crossbody was YES! I want it and need it! The price tag is way more than I normally spend so I after seeing it in person I decided to pass. Yes it is cute and very well made but I can definitely find something similar and save myself a lot of money.

I saw this Madewell Striped Cardigan during the preview and wasnt really impressed. I did want to try it on though and after doing so, my mind was changed! It is amazing and the colors are actually more vibrant in person. I sized down to a small. It is perfect for all you teachers out there. I would rock this on the first day of school 🙂

This Topshop Crewneck Sweater is way more cropped than I was expecting. I do love the colors and style of it but I did pass since it was shorter than I prefer. I am wearing small.

I had the Free People Thermal on my must have list since the beginning of the sale. It was gone before I could even get to the womens section so I grabbed this Caslon Thermal instead. I went with a medium and totally love it. It is also super affordable!

I never saw this All Saints wrap on the preview but grabbed it on the hangar. I loved it so much but never actually looked at the price until I tried it on. I did decide to pass on it since I figured I wouldnt wear it more than once. I also own several of these from Old Navy and Target that are more affordable. 

I already own these black Charles David Studded Booties and love them! I paid way more for them than the sale price this year. They are really comfy and true to size!

So you may be thinking, well what do I actually need to shop for?

First, I always try to think of weeding out things I need vs. things I know I don’t need. For instance, the #Nsale is the perfect time to stock up on good, designer jeans at a discounted price, but for myself and my body my weight fluctuates too much to spend a pretty penny on a pair of jeans that may fit in July but not in November if that makes sense.

The things I typically stock up on are boots/booties, cardigans, workout/athletic gear, coats and beauty exclusives.

If there is one thing you purchase for yourself, someone else or even the little people (aka kids or pups) let it be the Barefoot Dreams Blankets. They are the softest most comfy blankets ever! They also make great gifts for everyone!

Finally snagged the T3 curling iron and blow dryer after so many of my friends have raved about them! Im super pumped to try them and glad I could snag them on sale!

I also wanted to try the NeuLash lash duo serum this year and glad I could snag it before it sells out! I have also heard great things about this stuff. It is a serum you apply everyday to help your eyelashes grow. It was a $190 value so I was sold!

Ok… I know I have talked about shopping smart and trying to stay in your budget. The one product that I will always purchase during this sale (and save room in my budget) is the LaMer Face Cream. I know this is a splurge for most people and even myself. I NEVER thought I would spend an arm and a leg for face cream… but this stuff is a GAME CHANGER! 

I first purchased this stuff last NSale and it totally changed my skin. I have very dry skin and I immediately felt the difference after I put it on. Super hydrating and a little but goes a long way. I only use at night as the texture is pretty greasy. Depending on your skin type, you can still wear during the day but you definitely dont need a lot. I suggest ordering one of the smaller size tubes to try it out 🙂
