One of the biggest sales of the year is just weeks away!!!!!
This sale is literally a one-stop-shop for everything! Literally any and everything from back-to-school clothes for the kids, beauty products that are not usually marked down and fun new pieces that you’ll be wearing all fall-winter long. I actually take this time to consider Christmas gifts, too! I know its July, but when the deals are this good you can’t pass them up. The worst mistake you can make is waiting until the sale ends in August and all the prices go back up, and you regret things you shoulda-woulda-coulda scored at better prices.
Now for the stuff, you need to know….
You’re probably wondering, “when does the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 start?!“
Here are the key dates to mark on your calendars:
Hours: You can shop the sale in open stores during normal business hours. Online shopping begins at 3:00AM/12AM PT on your eligible day.
There will be a preview of all sale items starting July 6th for all cardholders! This actually gives shoppers time to add their favorites to their Wish Lists. Shoppers will be able to check out quicker once the sale goes LIVE. Cardmembers with Icon, Ambassador or Influencer status will get even more time to shop Early Access. The higher your status, the earlier you shop.
The Card:
In order to shop the sale during early access, you must have a Nordstrom card.
Just like a regular credit card, the Nordstrom card allows you to use the card exclusively at Nordstrom stores. There is no annual fees and you can accumulate points for every dollar spent. These are Nordstrom notes and when you sign up, you get a $40 note with your first purchase! No pressure because every family has a budget and I am by no means pushing anyone to sign up for a credit card. I personally pay off the amount right after I use it. It just helps me not lose control and stay on budget.

TIPS FOR SHOPPING THE SALE:
You can’t go into a sale like this without a game plan and hopefully these tips will prepare you for the Nsale.
1. Sign up for a Nordstrom card so you can have early access to the Nordstrom anniversary sale! I can’t stress enough how fast the popular items will go! As a card member, you will earn 2 points for every $1 you spend and there are benefits for each level you reach. If signing up for another credit card is not your thing, you can join their Nordstrom rewards program. It’s completely free and easy to sign up, and you will earn $20 for every 2,000 points you earn.
2. The best way to shop the NSale is online! Not only do they have a much larger selection than the stores can carry, but they offer free shipping and returns. If you don’t want to wait for your items to come in the mail, you can shop online and select in-store pick-up. That way you can pick your items up on the same day! Most stores offer curbside delivery, so you don’t have to find parking or even leave your car to pick up your order.
3. Purchase “Sell Out” items first! In my experience, the sell out items are denim, high-end beauty products and beauty tools, shoes and anything Barefoot Dreams. One thing I recommend is to buy multiple sizes in an item you really love. It’s hard to say if the popular items will restock. Last year, a lot of popular items did not restock once public access began. There is never a guarantee you will get your favorite items down the road so early access is always your best bet.
4. Buy now, return later! You don’t want to risk having your favorite item sell out (and the top sellers will sell out quickly). Nordstrom always offers free returns so take advantage. If you see something in the sale that makes your heart skip a beat, make sure you add it to your cart and check out immediately! Even if you were planning to shop the sale in person, you can order for store pickup and browse the store for other great deals once you’re there knowing you’ve secured what you really wanted.
5. Follow along for updates! If you follow me on the liketoknowit app or on Instagram, you will get to see my top picks for the sale and any tryons throughout the sale. I will be creating collages for my top picks from each department. I also plan on creating a Lookbook for the Nsale and styling outfits with my top picks. This will provide outfit ideas once fall arrives to save you time 🙂
Another thing I try to stay on top of is updating restocks and mark-downs throughout the sale. I know I mentioned in tip #4 that restocking is such an uncertainty but you never know if something will restock so keep checking! You may score that pair of booties that has been sold out in your size for days!
