Outfit Inspo For the Office

Happy Monday Friends!! 🙂

When you think of the phrase “office style”, you might think of boring even bland outfits you wouldn’t ever wear outside of a cubicle. But, I promise, work outfits really don’t have to be boring. So many workplaces have relaxed their dress codes that it’s easier than ever to put together a cute, comfortable look for the office. Even if you do work in an environment where traditional dress codes remain, you’re not doomed to poly-blend trousers and jewel-toned tops. Today, I am sharing some outfit inspiration that is great for the office or even some after office fun! #happyhour

(Sidenote: this photoshoot was taken on a super windy day so disregard the awkward faces + wind blown hair)

Valentines Day Gift Ideas For Kids/Teens

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and since we don’t usually go all out for it, it always sneaks up on me. To get-ahead this year, I wanted to share some of my favorite Valentines Day gift ideas, for the kids and teens!!!  As far as our plans, we usually just have dinner together at a favorite place to eat (just us) but since Ridge is getting older we like to include him in our “outings” (so romantic I know)…

Waffle Knit Sweater Under $40

Back to Monday already!?!? I am not going to lie… I am happy to have today off from work but I have a long to-do list AND there is no school for little man today! #sendallthecoffee

This season I have been obsessed with ALL of the sweaters. A waffle knit sweater definitely tends to be my favorite style, simply for comfort. You could wrap up in this piece and nap for hours if you really wanted to. Very seldom would I say that about anything but pajamas. You know I mean business when I’d take a nap in it.

The Best Fitness Essentials For 2018

New year, new workout routine, right? Unfortunately, I’m one of those people who happens to be looking for a new gym during the biggest month for enrollment, but hey, I’ve always been more motivated when working out in a crowded gym than an empty one!

However, in addition to awful weather during the winter months (which can be enough to deter you from heading out to exercise), actually getting to the gym can be even more of a pain due to icy sidewalks and the need for lots of layering. Having gone to college in Cincinnati where the gym was actually pretty far away compared to everything else on our small campus, I’m used to bundling up and making the trek down and have followed basically the same routine for the past 8+ years.

Yoga Mat // Adidas Hoodie // Duffel Bag // Nike Sneakers //  Lululemon Sportsbra // Workout Powder // Metallic Windbreaker // Swell Water Bottle  // Traceless Hair Tie // Foil Print Leggings//Wireless Headphones // Zella High Waist Leggings // Protein Bars // Nike Elastic Tank // Colored Dumbbells

What are your gym essentials for the new year?

Quilted Nike Pullover + Fitness Goals

Happy Monday Friends! Back to reality and back to blogging! Whoop Whoop!

It’s also that time of year where the gyms are super crowded and everyone’s making their fitness goals for the year. When it comes to fitness, I get DM’s from y’all regarding the best running tips, fitness classes or the best exercises to do in the gym. My goal for 2018 is to share all the fitness tips and tricks I have learned over the years and to get in better shape. I shared recently that I am training for a half marathon in February in honor of a little boy who was diagnosed with leukemia. I have completed two other marathons before so I didn’t hesitate to sign up for another one. Its such an honor to run and raise money for such an amazing organization.

I recently snagged something that I am totally obsessed with and had to share with the world. This quilted Nike pullover has totally given me life and I haven’t taken it off since I got it in the mail.
